Vermell Jeanette Robson was born on September 18, 1943, in South Carolina to Moses Weston and Marie Singleton. She spent her early years in both South Carolina and Brooklyn, New York, where she lived with her mother, who owned a beauty salon in Brooklyn. Vermell's favorite pastime was shopping, but her greatest joy came from being a devoted mother. Motherhood was the role she cherished most, and she was fiercely protective of her children.
She lovingly cared for her husband, Frank Robson Sr., and dedicated her life to her family. Professionally, Vermell worked for Con Edison and later served as a social worker for the City of New York. After relocating to North Carolina, she continued her career in public service, working in the school system and for the State of North Carolina as a social worker once again.
Outside of her professional life, Vermell enjoyed cooking, traveling, reading, and spending time with her children. She was a vibrant and caring woman who
touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by a host of family and friends.
