"Don't be troubled. Believe in God and believe in me.  My Father's house has many rooms. If that were not true, would I have told you that I'm going to prepare a place for you?

If I go to prepare a place for you, I will come again. Then I will bring you into my presence so that you will be where I am.”

John 14:1-3 (GW)

Tim was born on October 17, 1961, in Wilmington NC to Benny Gene Malloy and Mary Lena Armstrong.  He transitioned from his earthly body on October 24, 2024. He is predeceased by his Mother and Father.  He is survived by his son Chandler Malloy NC, sisters, Venessa Barney, (Al) Ga, and Seconda Malloy, NC,brothers Benny Malloy (Phyllis) NC, Curtis Malloy, NC, and Andre Malloy (Katrina), Fl, long-time special friend, Lachone Fuquay, Md. His beloved nieces and nephews: Jamil Barney, Tameka, LaToya, Darius, Daniel, Kanishia, Andre, and Kameron Malloy, and DeMarcus Salter, Predeceased: Maurice McLaurin.

Tim graduated from New Hanover High School in 1981.  From there he set out on his path in life.  He lived in various cities across North Carolina, always moving forward until he discovered his passion for driving.

Tim drove for the Greyhound Bus line for more than 20 years.  He absolutely loved driving.  He referred to his bus as his domain and no person was about to rule or be disrespectful to any other passenger on the bus.  Tim also possessed an entrepreneurial spirit, which compelled him to purchase his own Charter Bus.  He paid no attention to the naysayers, and in due time he purchased a 60-passenger bus.  If he had set out to accomplish a goal, consider it done.

Although Tim was short in stature, he had a commanding presence.  He feared nothing or no one.  He was soft-spoken, compassionate, and loyal to his friends and family.  He was a no-nonsense man and was driven by a sense of commitment to follow through on anything he endeavored to do.  If someone reached out to him for help, he would support them as much as he could through their difficult circumstances.  Because of his giving heart he was appreciated by so many.

Tim loved to laugh and enjoyed making others laugh along with him.   He was known for his quick-witted humor.  He was easy to be around and was especially beloved by his nieces and nephews.  Tim’s best friend and cousin, Gregory Malloy, had the kind of relationship that could be compared to that of David and Jonathan. Their friendship was based on love of the Lord, and loyalty to each other.

Years ago, Tim received Jesus as his Lord and Savior.  He loved Jesus and knew that Jesus loved him.  He understood that each day he opened his eyes he was granted a special gift of life.  As for his loved ones his departure was too soon.  But he is now eternally with Jesus.

Tim, we celebrate your life…We love you to eternity!
