Tommy was a man who loved deeply and lived with heart. He had an undeniable love for his family, and nothing brought him more joy than being surrounded by the people he cared about. He cherished those moments, big and small where laughter filled the room and stories of childhood mischief were passed around like treasures.
Even when life made it harder for him to get around,Tommy still found ways to connect - frequently hopping on the city bus just to head downtown and catch up with old friends. He made a point to stay close to his friends, reliving those golden years of growing up in Chavis Heights, always ready with a laugh and a quick-witted joke that would leave everyone in stitches.
Tommy was a true jokester, the kind that could light up a room just by being in it. But behind the humor was a heart of gold. - a kind, generous man who would do anything he could to help someone out. His spirit, laughter and kindness will stay with us forever.
He is survived by his sisters, Mildred (Millie) K. Gatewood, Loretta (Tiny) White, Linda Faye Swann, all of Raleigh, NC and a host of nieces & nephews.
