Survivors: Daughter, Tracie Cheek Waller of Wake Forest, NC; Son, James Cheek, Jr of Charlotte, NC; Sister, Thelma Lee Barnes and Brother, Harvey Barnes, both of Kinston, NC; Grandchildren, Richard "Tre" Waller, III and Camille Waller.
