Shania Leoma Wilson was angelically birthed on June 9th, 1999 in Raleigh, North Carolina, forever gifted to her mother, Leoma Wilson, and her father, Kendall Smith, Sr. as of March 1, 2020, Shania passed away.
Shania, acquainted with many schools (East Garner Elementary, East Wake Middle School, East Wake High, etc.), led a joyful life amongst all of her friends.
Shania attended East Wake High, thankful to greet and see her classmates, teachers, and friends. Shania had a close relationship with her teachers and honorary mothers, Mrs, Wannetta Best and Ms, Kimberly Tucker. Shania easily gave a glimpse of a warrior who smiled in the face of the wind, as she fought a lot of her problems with care and a smile on her face. Shania spoke a lot of wanting change as a developmental disability activist and an anti-bullying representative.
Expected to graduate in May of 2020, Shania will have received her high school diploma from East Wake High School.
Previously a cheerleader (for Knightdale Knights), a formal gymnastics attendee, in North Carolina’s Youth Leadership Forum (NCYLF), a member of the Alliance of Disability Advocates youth group and a Miracle League runner, Shania enjoyed her days living in her space with her roommates at Building Independence & Green Level Apartments.
Shania had many goals such as play softball in the spring, travel to Las Vegas, and maybe one day go back to her hobby studying mineralogy. Shania was a horror movie fanatic, interested in horror games and film since the year 2009. Shania enjoyed her time catching up with family members and brightening other people’s day.
Shania loved nature, babies, and animals, as her heart was as pure as any mineral.
