Rubin Robinson, Jr.

Mr. Rubin Robinson, Jr., the son of the late Rubin Robinson, Sr. and the late Mary Moore Robinson was born on June 26, 1952, in Wake County, North Carolina. He departed this earthly life for his new heavenly home on Saturday July 4, 2026, at WakeMed Cary Hospital surrounded by his family.

He was educated in the public schools of Wake County graduating from Enloe High School class of 1970. He furthered his education and attended Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, earning a Bachelor of Computer Science degree. He was a Veteran of the United States Army where he received the National Defense Medal, Expert Badge Grenade and the Marksman Badge M-16.  He was stationed in Stuttgart Germany where he met his future bride where she also served int he United States Army.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to Katherine Shelton on November 9, 1974, to which he was Blessed to share 52 years of love and devotion.

He leaves to cherish his memories his Wife, Katherine Shelton Robinson; One Daughter, Nicole Robinson Devane (Ronita) of Leland, NC; One Son, Joshua Robinson; One Brother, Bobby Robinson (Jean) of Apex, North Carolina; One Sister, Judy Robinson Mack (Gerald, Sr., who preceded him in death) of Ashburn, Va; One Aunt, Hazel Winston of Apex, North Carolina; Two Sisters-in-Law, Joshaline Mackie (Myron) of New Orleans, Louisiana and Elaine Darensburg of New Orleans, Louisiana; One brother-in-Law, Ledell Shelton of New Orleans, La.; He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law Claudia Carson and brothers-in-law Clinton Shelton, III and Joseph Carson.; 4 Nieces, 6 Nephews; 5 Great nieces and 8 great nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. 

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday July 10, 2026, 12 noon at Freedom Temple Cathedral of Grace by Bishop Gerald Sylver. The interment will follow in Carolina Biblical Gardens.
