Pastor Olushola Babatunde Odumosu, born on July 20th 1949, into the royal household of Eleyele Ibadan, was the beloved son of Oba J.O. Odumosu, the Obiri Agbonkosemi II of Aiyepe, and Olori Christian Folashade Odumosu — both of blessed memory. He was the sixth child in a family of ten siblings. From this noble and godly lineage, he inherited not just royal blood, but also a deep sense of purpose, compassion, and discipline.
Raised in a home where honor, faith, and education were pillars, Olushola grew to embody the very best of his heritage. Throughout his life, he remained deeply committed to the values of service, integrity, and love for God, often drawing inspiration from his father’s reign and his mother’s unwavering Christian devotion.
He went to Holy Trinity Primary School in Aiyepe and got enrolled into Ibadan Grammar School for his secondary education. After which he came to Molusi College, Ijebu-Igbo got his Higher School Certificate (HSC) course. Olushola later attended the Yaba College of Technology in Lagos where he stood among the early devoted followers of the Christian faith who embraced and upheld the gospel and were committed believers in Christ. He studied civil engineering, graduated from Yaba Tech and worked in the Ministry of Works in Niger State and became a lecturer in the polytechnic of Bida.
His ministerial journey began with Deeper Life Bible Church, where he wholeheartedly committed himself to the work of the gospel. He started as the State overseer in Niger State, and was transferred to serve in several key states. His ministry took him across Adamawa (Yola), Abeokuta in Ogun State, Cotonou in the Republic of Benin, Ibadan in Oyo State, Ado-Ekiti in Ekiti State, Akure in Ondo State, and as far as The Gambia, before returning to serve faithfully again in Benin Republic as the zonal coordinator in the francophone countries (Benin, Togo, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea Conakry)
Throughout these years, he was known for his deep scriptural insight, disciplined life, and unshakeable faith, mentoring believers, leading with humility, and laboring for souls across both rural and urban missions. His impact remains indelible in the lives of those he pastored and walked with in the vineyard of Christ.
He participated in various mission fields including Uganda, India, and Burkina Faso, where he continued to share the message of Christ with humility and conviction.
A man of uncommon strength and quiet wisdom, Pastor Olushola touched many lives through his words, actions, and prayers. He believed in living a life worthy of his calling, and his legacy continues in the lives of his children, grandchildren, and all who knew him.
He is deeply mourned and lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Mrs. Juliana Faith Odumosu, who stood faithfully beside him throughout his life and ministry. He also leaves behind his beloved children — John, Lola, and Bunmi — each of whom carries forward his values of integrity, faith, and compassion.
His legacy continues to shine through his cherished grandchildren: Nolan, Wesley, Ninioluwalere, Amelia, and Bradley, who will grow up surrounded by the stories, prayers, and principles that defined his life.
Though he has gone to be with the Lord, the seeds he planted — in his home, in the church, and across the nations — continue to bear fruit. His memory is a blessing, and his impact, eternal.
