Pastor Kermit Wilson Jr. is the youngest child of Tressie Osborne and Kermit Wilson (deceased) born January 18, 1978 in Hollywood Florida.
It was from his mother where he received his early knowledge and training of the Bible.
He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior as a teenager and realized his calling and gift to preach the Word of God through his experience in preaching during youth services.
As a youth, he was active on the football team at Blanche Ely High School and a leader in every social setting.
He attended Virginia Union University in Richmond, Virginia where he obtained his B.S. degree in Natural Sciences. He then attended North Carolina A&T State University where he obtained his Masters in Food and Nutritional Science. In 2011, he received his Masters of Divinity-Pastoral Preaching from Liberty University.
While attending NC A&T SU, Pastor Wilson became a member of New Life Ministries in Greensboro, North Carolina. It was here where he was further developed for ministry. He was given the opportunity to teach bible study and preach the Word of God. In 2002, he received his ministerial license to preach the Gospel. In 2010, he was ordained as an Elder, leading the educational and men’s ministries. He was also selected and served as a member of the advisory board. In July of 2014, he was elevated to Pastor-Elect of New Life Ministries.
Pastor Wilson had a strong desire to motivate, educate, and equip people through the Word of God. His favorite scripture was Ephesians 3:20 which states “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
After being hospitalized for 41 days in the COVID ICU unit of WakeMed Hospital in Cary, Pastor Kermit Wilson departed this natural realm and entered into eternal joy with his oldest sister, brother-in-love and wife at his side praying him into Glory until his last heartbeat.
He leaves to cherish his memory is wife Miracle Wilson, son EJ 10, his two daughters Eden Melody and Kindle Spirit; his mother Tressie Osborne, sisters Tearanie Parker (James), Wylinda Williams, Fonda Wilson (Pam), Yolanda Crawford; nieces: Bria, Stephanie, Aiyana; nephews: James Kyle, Braylon, King, Ethan and Mason; Aunts Harriet Hair and Phyllis Scott, Foster Mother Ruby McCoy and goddaughter Saadiya Davis; church family, friends and former coworkers from Post, Mountaire Farms, Tropical Foods, Nestle and Tyson.
Thank you to all of you who have called, text, send cards and prayers. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kermit's widow.
