Mamie Boone Webb of Wendell, NC entered peacefully into eternal rest on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh, NC surrounded by family. She was born January 3,1933 to the late William Boone Sr. and Cosy Ella Boone in Northampton County, NC.
Mamie's greatest love was her family. She was the ultimate matriarch of the family. Her unconditional love and guidance for her daughters, grands, and great-grands attest to their professional successes. Her sweet demeanor and thoughtfulness will be missed by all who knew her.
Public Viewing: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM, Thursday, July 23, 2020 at Lea Funeral Home, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Friday, July 24, 2020 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.
Interment: Gethsemane Cemetery, Zebulon, NC.
Left to honor and remember her love, Rev Jeremiah Webb, her five daughters, Carolyn W. Spain (Ray), Delores Webb, Geraldine W. Harris, Shirl W. Alston, Bernice W. Bramble and adopted daughter, Doretha Simmons; 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; three surviving sisters, Sarah B. Vassor, Evelyn B. Whitaker, and Jacqueline B. Banks (John).
