Maggie Nora Gunter of Fayetteville, NC departed this life on Thursday, July 17, 2025.
A Purpose-filled Life. The world feels a little dimmer with the passing of Maggie Nora Peele Gunter, whose presence was a beacon of kindness, resilience, and grace. She walked through life with strength, offering love without condition and comfort without hesitation. To those who knew her, Maggie was more than family or friend—she was a steady hand, and a warm heart. Her life was stitched together by acts of care, kindness and laughter. Though she has left this world, her spirit continues to live on in the lives she touched. Her legacy is held in each memory spoken aloud, each lesson passed down, and each gesture of love inspired by her example.
We remember Maggie not with sorrow alone, but with gratitude for having known her, and with love that refuses to fade. We honor the life of Maggie Nora Peele Gunter—a woman whose drive, warmth, and unwavering grace left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her.
Maggie was an extraordinary sales professional whose talent, charisma, and vision propelled her to the top of her field. Through dedication and unmatched skill, she rose to become Vice President of Sales at Windstream Communications, breaking barriers and mentoring countless others along the way. Her leadership wasn’t just about numbers—it was about people, relationships, and the pursuit of excellence with integrity.
Maggie’s professional career was only one chapter in a life defined by purpose and service. For many years, she served faithfully as a group leader with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), guiding others with grace and deep spiritual insight. Her love for the Lord was unwavering, and she found joy, strength, and fellowship in attending Wake Chapel Church, where her presence was a cherished blessing.
Beyond the professional accolades, Maggie was a pillar of compassion and quiet strength. Whether she was sharing wisdom, offering encouragement, or simply being present, she made others feel seen and valued. Maggie taught us that success is sweetest when shared, and love is strongest when given freely. She lived each day as a reflection of her faith—offering love without reservation, sharing wisdom generously, and walking beside others with patience and kindness. Even as her health declined, Maggie’s spirit remained strong and her devotion unshaken.
Her legacy lives on in every life she touched: through her bold achievements, her gentle guidance, and her profound faith. Maggie taught us to lead with heart, to give with joy, and totrust in something greater. She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Tiffany Walker Williams; son-in-law, Roshad Williams; grandchildren, James Bennett (JB) and Miles who brought her great joy, step-grandchildren, Madeline and Henry Williams; her dedicated sister, Fannie C. Peele; as well as her beloved nieces, nephews, numerous other relatives, and many friends. Maggie's siblings: Lennie, Ophelia, Almeta, Linda Diane, and her brother Linwood James Peele, Jr. passed away before her.Though her passing leaves a space that cannot be filled, Maggie’s legacy lives on in every life she touched. She taught us to lead with heart, live with purpose, and trust in God’s grace. Her memory will be forever treasured, and her spirit eternally celebrated.
