Lonnie G. Grant, of Clayton, NC, departed this life on Tuesday, August 12, 2025.  

Funeral Service:  12:00 PM, Friday, August 22, 2025, at Martin Street Baptist Church, 1001 E. Martin Street, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation:  11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, preceding the service at the Church.

Interment:  Pinecrest Memorial Park, Clayton, NC.  

Lonnie is survived by his beloved wife, Pattie M. Grant; his children — Don Cary Grant (Cynthia L. Trice-Grant), Sylvia Denise Grant, and Mark Anthony Grant; and his loving sister, Felecia Thornton (Tom Thornton). His legacy also extends to nine grandchildren: Steven McCullers, Ashlee Boyce, Cary Michael Grant, Pattie Grant, Don Alexander Grant (Rachel Grant), Antonio Jerome Bailey Jr., Mark Garfield Grant, Lauren Jennifer Hernandez-Lopez (Eduardo Hernandez Lopez), and Lonnie William Matthew Grant (Kim Grant); as well as twelve great-grandchildren.

He is also lovingly remembered by his dear Matthews family, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews, and an enormous circle of extended family and friends.
