Lloyd Cornelius Norfleet departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Cary Rehabilitation center. His final days were spent with family and friends that he had touched in some way throughout his life. He was born March 20, 1941, to Georgie and the late Grant Norfleet.
He was preceded in death by five brothers: Ned C. Norfleet, Roy Norfleet, Grant Norfleet, Cecil Norfleet, and Arthur E. Norfleet along with one sister June Norfleet.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Lloyd Norfleet moved to Raleigh NC, in 1973 to pursue his career as an electrician for Rockwell International. After retirement, he became self-employed where L&L Sales were born and located at Watson Flea Market. He always had a good sense of humor and knowledgeable about life.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his wife Lois A. Norfleet and their three children, Floyd C. Norfleet, Jack C. Norfleet, Shirley D. Norfleet of Raleigh, NC a mother, Georgie Norfleet of Ahoskie, NC. He also leaves behind (5) sisters: Addie Pollard and Judy Baker of Gatesville, NC, Estella Presswood (late John Presswood) and Vernell Pattmon of Ahoskie, NC and Althea Norfleet of Texas; (2) brother: Shelly Norfleet of Gatesville, NC and George Norfleet of Suffolk, VA; (3) grandchildren: Lamont NeSmith, Riko Norfleet, and Lakeshia Norfleet; (3) great-grandchildren: Ja'lyn Norfleet, Jai Norfleet-Wooten, and Zahirah Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.
Visitation: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM, preceding the funeral service at the chapel.
Interment: Hillcrest Cemetery, Raleigh, NC
