KEVIN KRISTOPHER JOINER, son of the late Kenneth Prescott Joiner and Patsy Ruth Joiner was born on November 04,1977 and departed his earthly life, entering into rest on Tuesday July 8, 2025, at the age of 47.

Kevin was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, where he spent his early childhood before moving with his family to Miami, Florida, then on to Rochester, New York, and finally Raleigh, North
Carolina where he graduated from Needham B. Broughton High School. Kevin went on to earn an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University in Charlotte, North Carolina and spent many years as a professional chef based in both Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Kevin was a loyal friend, brother, and father who loved to travel, to cook, and to spend time with his only daughter, Maliah, family members and friends. Kevin held a passionate connection to his Louisiana roots and culture and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan.

Kevin was called home on Tuesday, July 8, 2025. He was proceeded in death by his parents and one nephew. His memory shall forever be cherished in the hearts of his daughter Maliah Kristian Joiner, his elder brother Nasif, his nephew Sultan, and his two nieces, Leena and Joud, as well as a host of other relatives and friends. 

Funeral Service:  12:00 PM, Wednesday, July 30, 2025 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation:  11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, preceding the funeral service at the chapel.

Interment:  Carolina Biblical Gardens, Raleigh, NC.
