Jose Gunn Morales

Jose Gunn Morales of Raleigh, NC departed this life on Monday, January 19, 2026.  

Jose Oscar Gunn Morales (Gito) was born September 11, 1972 in Aguadilla Puerto Rico to Eulalia Morales and the late Maurice Stanley Gunn.  The Gunn family moved to Raleigh NC when Gito was a year old where he transitioned to his eternal life on Monday January 19, 2026.

Gito, as he was affectionately known, was the youngest of the six children.  He was a high spirited man whose laugh was uniquely unmistakeable loud and hearty.  He enjoyed lively crowds, parties, cook-outs, and family events.  He also loved fishing with his best friend and childhood brother Kenna Pax Shirey.

Gito was the life of the party, kindhearted and caring person who loved everyone, especially his mother.  He will be truly missed and will live in our hearts FOREVER!

Gito leaves to cherish his memory, his mother:  Eulalia Morales Gunn, sisters:  Sandra Gunn Pollard (John deceased) and Evangelina Gunn-Sonai deceased (Alberto) of the home; brothers:  Maurice Gunn Jr. (Stella) of Mebane NC; Angel Gunn of Isabela, PR;   

Cesar Gunn of Zebulon NC; cousin:  Jacqueline Arevalo (Hector) of Raleigh NC, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and family members in Lillington NC and in Puerto Rico.

Memorial Service:  12:00 PM, Friday, February 6, 2026 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2718 Overbrook Drive, Raleigh, NC.
