Mr. Jimmie Lee White, 74, of Clayton, North Carolina, peacefully transitioned from this life on April 2, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering dedication to his family.
Jimmie Lee White was born on July 28, 1951, in The Eagle Rock Community , Wake County, North Carolina, to the late Calvin White and Odessa Hemphill White. He was raised with strong values and attended schools in Johnston County, graduating in 1969 from Johnston Central High School.
Jimmie was a hardworking and dependable man who dedicated many years of service to Winn-Dixie as a forklift operator. He took great pride in his work and in providing for his family.
He found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Jimmie loved hunting, cooking, and watching movies. Not a day went by that he didn’t enjoy an episode of Sanford & Son. He also had a deep passion for cars and could tell you the make and year of almost any vehicle on sight. He was known for his famous Banana Pudding in the family. He also loved playing the lottery scratch-offs and would proudly say he was blessed to win about 75% of the time he played.
Jimmie was a kind-hearted man who would help anyone without question. He had a natural sense of humor and brought laughter to those around him. To his family, he was more than a provider—he was a protector, a comedian, and a constant source of love and strength.
In 1972, Jimmie married his high school sweetheart, Daisy Pearl Hagans, and together they built a beautiful life and raised three children: his son, Jimmie Derrell White of Clayton, NC; and his daughters, Kimberly White Richardson (Alexander) of Pembroke Pines, FL, and Brittany Sade White of Clayton, NC.
He was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Kennedy R. Mason of Richmond, VA; Caleb M. White of Raleigh, NC; Jordan Richardson and Alexis Richardson of Pembroke Pines, FL; and Avianna S. Fortune and Jayce D. Auston of Clayton, NC.
Jimmie also leaves behind two brothers, Craig White and Oliver White, whom he lovingly cared for over thirty years; five sisters, Mary Holloway (Charles), Zettia Carlson, Jennifer Ewing (Samuel), Clementine Shepard, and Juanita Ferguson (Harold); two sisters-in-law, Sallie Smith and Jean Hagans; a special niece, Michelle Sanders; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Daisy Pearl Hagans White; his parents, Calvin and Odessa White; and his sister, Daisy Sanders.
Mr. Jimmie Lee White lived a life that truly mattered. His kindness, his laughter, and his love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
