Javier Angel Marquez of Creedmoor, NC departed this life on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Javier’s early education was through Daniels Elementary School and Sanderson High School and He received his B.A. in Kinesiology from East Carolina University (ECU).

He had a loving and caring soul, devoted to family, friends and whomever needed support. His presence of love transcended to everyone he met.

He leaves to cherish loving memories to Mother, Selena Marquez of Wendell; Father, Fernando M. Marquez from Spain; his brother, Fernando M Marquez II of NC; sister, Zahara F Marquez of PR; Niece, Jocelyn S Marquez of NC; nephew, Fernando M Marquez III of NC; three great Aunts, Pastor Shirley Polk Downing of GA; Marsha Downing  and Bonnie Alamo of MD; one great uncle, Extor Alamo of NV; two Aunts, Maria Del Mar Marquez Molero of AL; Maria Del Carmen Marquez Molero of FL; two uncles, Javier Marquez Molero and Jose Manuel Marquez Molero of Spain; ; Godmother, Maria Lawrence of Cary; Godsister, Breana Lawrence of Zebulon and Godbrother, Gregory Lawrence of Greensboro; Girlfriend, Caityln Campbell of Morrisville; Preceded in death, Grandmother, Lena Downing of Salisbury MD; Grandfather Fernando Marquez Ruie from Rota Spain; Grandmother, Carmen Molero Olie from Sevilla Spain; a host of cousins and an alarming amount of friends.

Funeral Service:  11:00 AM, Monday, June 16, 2025, at Lea Funeral Home, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC

Visitation:  11:00 AM - 12:00 PM, preceding the service at the Chapel.
