James Cornelius Yon

James Cornelius Yon of Raleigh, NC departed this life on Monday, January 24, 2022.

Funeral Service:  1:00pm, Saturday, February 5, 2022 at Life Worship Center, 6020 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation:  12:00pm – 1:00pm, preceding the funeral service at the church.

Interment:  Jones Turner Family Cemetery, Holly Springs, NC.

James graduated  from Tarheel Challenge in 2010.  James was truck driver for a moving company for many years. James infectious smile touched so many lives.  He was a protector and always made sure everyone was “good”.  He was the life of this party never missing an opportunity to make us smile or laugh.

James was preceded in his eternal rest by his maternal grandmother, Carolyn Booker and paternal step-grandmother, Justine Yon.  James leaves to cherish his memory, Parents, John Sr. & Harriett Yon of Fuquay Varina, NC; Sisters, Carla Gabrielle Grady, Dineen Michelle Spivey, Jazmyn Carolyne Rodgers (Travell) and Jayda Nicole Yon; Brothers, Terrell Wesley Yon, John Wesley Yon, Jr., Joshua Harold Yon and Jordan Booker Yon; Maternal Grandfather, Harold Booker (Linda); Paternal Grandparents, Savannah Marie Robinson and Percy James Yon, Sr.; Aunts; Patrice Yon and Natalie McMillan (David); Uncles, Darren Yon (Taneka) and Percy Yon, Jr. (Linda), Godfather, Tim Perry; Godmother, Sharon Jeter  and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
