James A. Gatling, Jr., of Raleigh, NC, departed this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.

Public Viewing:  2:00 PM -7:00 PM, Tuesday, December 17, 2024, at Lea Funeral Home. 

Funeral Service:  12:00 PM, Wednesday, December 18, 2024, at the Lea Funeral Home Chapel.

Visitation:  11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, preceding the service at the chapel.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Alison Gatling, Children: Tyler(TJ) and Melissa Gatling, Granddaughter Autumn Kintchen all of Durham, NC. Two sisters, Wanda Collins (Keith) of Chesapeake, VA and Linda Chavis of West End, NC. Six brothers, Lawrence Gatling (Venita) Raleigh, NC, Arthur Gatling(Patricia) of Pinehurst, NC, Donald Gatling(Sharon) Raleigh, NC, Gary Gatling(Lisa) of Raleigh, NC, Elvis Gatling of Raleigh, NC and Henry Gatling of Virginia Beach, VA. Long time friend, Sandy Bledsoe and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives & friends.
