Gladys Walton Thompson of Raleigh, NC departed this life on Monday, June 6, 2022.

Funeral Service: 2:30 PM, Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation: 2:00 PM - 2:30 PM, preceding the funeral service at the chapel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard Walton & Vashtie Hunter Birdsong, her sister, Dorothy Lee Walton Stone and her brothers, John Birdsong & Cleveland Byrdsong, Jr.

Survivors: Husband, Donald R. Thompson of the home; Step-Daughter, Dawn Holton (Curtis); Sister-in-law, Carstoba Byrdsong; Aunt, Mary Myatt; Nieces, Candace Byrdsong Willams, Crystal Weeks, Taneka Yon (Darren), Yolita Birdsong; Nephews, John Birdsong (Rosa) and Cleveland Birdsong.
