Obituary

Flora Belle Lane Macklin, of Raleigh, NC departed this life on Friday, December 25, 2020.

Funeral Service:  11:00 AM, Thursday, January 7, 2021 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

Interment:  Macklin Cemetery, Rocky Mount, NC.

Preceding her in death along with her parents Dupree Wallace and Goldeen Smith Lane were her husband, Herman; three adult children, Kenneth, Karl and Joquita and her siblings, Dupree Jr, Gladys, Maurice, Warren, Annette, Sandra, Frederick Douglas and Sheila, one infant child, Rhonda Gail.

Left to mourn her death are four of her eight children from her union to Herman; Brenda Macklin Bynum (John) Rocky Mount, North Carolina; Renaldo L. Macklin (Jackie) Memphis, Tennessee; Juaria Macklin Hogan (Jerry) Raleigh, North Carolina; Tamara Macklin Dickey (Clyde) Jamestown, New York; and three of her twelve siblings, Robert Lane Texas, Priscilla Lane and Rosita Lewis Washington, DC; her sister in law, Alma R. Macklin Rocky Mount, North Carolina; her son in law, Carver Earl Spruill Rocky Mount, North Carolina; 24 wonderful grandchildren; 44 wonderful great grandchildren and 4 wonderful great-great grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins on both sides; many relatives; a host of very special friends and others who will miss her dearly.
