Elizabeth Morgan Sanders

Elizabeth Morgan Sanders of Raleigh, NC was born June 28, 1951 in Clayton, NC to the late Minnie Price Morgan and Thomas Lee Morgan Jr. She departed this life on Friday, September 16, 2022.

Liz was baptized and became a member of the Church Of Christ at an early age. She attended and graduated from Ligon High School in 1969. She was united in Matrimony to the late Linwood Sanders until his death. Liz was employed with Burke and Herbert Bank of Alexandria, Virginia for several years until she retired.

Liz had a caring and giving spirit . She was a Philanthropist who donated to many organizations. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed shopping, cooking (THAT impossible cheeseburger pie),  dancing, singing, laughing and photography. She loved all things of style and beauty.

Liz is preceded in death by brothers, James Sanders, Johnnie Morgan and Milton Morgan; Sisters Lucille McIlwain and Mayme Banks.

Liz leaves to cherish her memory 3 sisters and 1 brother. Ida Knight, Thomas Morgan (Mary), Lillie Moore and Margaret Massenburg all of Raleigh, NC. Sister-in-law, Evon Sanders of Garner, NC. Aunt, Ethel Johnson of Raleigh, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Those we love don't go away.

They walk beside of everyday.

Unseen, unheard, but always near.

Still loved still missed and very dear.
