As Earl Leonard Cannon is welcomed into heaven by the Lord for a job well done on earth, we reflect with both sorrow and gratitude on his life. Earl departed from us on August 13, 2024, at the age of 84. Born on September 5, 1939, Earl lived a life characterized by a deep love for the things that brought him joy and contentment.
Earl was a man of few words but of great strength and conviction. His passion for Camaros was well-known, reflecting his appreciation for classic craftsmanship and design. His heart found peace in the great outdoors, whether he was fishing in the stillness of a quiet lake or enjoying the tranquility of nature. His connection to Southern gospel music was profound, offering him both comfort and inspiration throughout his life.
One of Earl’s favorite pastimes in his retirement was sitting on the porch with a glass of sweet tea and a good automotive magazine, embracing the simple pleasures of life and savoring the quiet moments of reflection.
Earl joins his beloved parents, Howard and Lillian Cannon, and his brothers, Howard Cannon Jr. and Sheldon Cannon, in eternal rest.
Earl leaves behind a family who will forever treasure his memory: his devoted sister, Earline Cannon Geiger, and her husband Radjuel. He is also lovingly remembered by his nieces, Keli Swann and Kimberly Geiger, and his very special grandnephews, Ryan and Oakley Swann. Additionally, Earl leaves behind a cherished friend of over 30 years, Mrs. Deborah Davis, along with a host of family and friends who will miss him dearly.
Rest in peace, Earl. Your legacy of quiet strength, unwavering kindness, and love for life’s simple joys as well as your gentle spirit and the warmth of your presence will remain in our hearts forever.
