Daniel Alexander Brown, Sr.

It is with deep love that we announce the peaceful passing of Daniel Alexander Brown, Sr., age 95, of Raleigh, North Carolina. A proud Army veteran, Mr. Brown dedicated his life to service—both to his country and to his family. Born January 3, 1931, in Iredell County, Statesville, North Carolina, he was the beloved son of the late Clarence and Mary Brown. He is preceded in death by his brothers, William and Paul Brown, and his son, Daniel Brown Jr.

Daniel Alexander Brown, Sr. is survived by his devoted wife, Sarah Brown; his sister, Lucy Moore; his loving daughters, Helen Bates, Frances Mitchell, and Dorothy Lee (Christopher Lee); nine cherished grandchildren; and eight adored great-grandchildren.

Public Viewing: 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM, Friday, March 13, 2026, at Lea Funeral Home, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

Funeral Service: 11:30 AM, Saturday, March 14, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 101 S. Wilmington Street, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation: 11:00 AM - 11:30 AM, preceding the service at the Church.

Interment: Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner, NC.

His legacy of love, strength, and unwavering dedication will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
