Colton Wooten was an extremely gifted and astute writer, eloquently educating and challenging his readers to understand with empathy and be moved to seek data driven solutions for the cycle of opioid addiction in our country along with other maladies of the human condition. His extraordinary writing abilities were noted at an early age, when he submitted an opinion article to The New York Times during his senior year in high school that was selected and published. During his college years he continued to develop his talent as a freelance writer and has had several articles published in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and Psychology Today. His greatest literary achievement was being awarded a contract to author a book with a major publishing company which he was not able to complete. Colton was put here to tell the stories of those who could not find the words or platforms to do so. His voice will continue to enlighten the world through the articles that he blessed us with for years to come.
