Cecile Diann Williams was born on April 7th, 1969 in Raleigh, North Carolina. She departed from this life on August 7th, 2025. She was known by family and friends as Diann.

Diann graduated from Garner Senior High School in 1988 and continued her education at Winston Salem State University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and later a Masters in Public Administration and Family Counseling from North Carolina Central University.

She loved being around family and friends and her calling in life was social work. Her eyes lit up when she thought someone needed services and would start making calls to assist. She worked tirelessly with the disadvantaged and homeless in Raleigh.

Diann was always driven by a deep sense of purpose and compassion. She believed in the power of education, the importance of service, and the value of lifting others up. Her career and her life were dedicated to helping people—whether it was through her work, her friendships, or her family.

Though we are heartbroken by her passing on August 7, 2025, we are also grateful for the time we had with her.  Diann leaves to cherish her memories her son Patrick, her parents John and Elzinia, her sisters Venita and Torrie, her brother John and a host of relatives and friend’s. We will carry her memory with us always, striving to honor her by living with the same compassion and courage that she showed every day.

Thank you Diann, for everything you gave us. We love you, and will never forget you.

Public Viewing:  12:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 14, 2025, at Lea Funeral Home.  
*The immediate family will be present from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM, to receive other relatives and friends*

Funeral Service:  12:00 PM, Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation:  11:30 AM- 12:00 PM, preceding the service in the chapel.  

Interment:  Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner, NC.
