Annette McLeod, 65, of Wake County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 5, 2024.

Annette was born on July 8, 1959 in Wake County, North Carolina to the parents of Nancy Scott and Thadis Ray McLeod. 

Annette was educated in the Wake County Public School System and worked as a certified nursing assistant. Working as a certified nursing assistant, Annette’s patience, empathy, and compassion for her patients left a lasting impact on countless lives. These qualities extended to her family. Annette continuously provided caregiving duties for her mother, Nancy Scott Archible, and Moses Archible Sr.

Annette is survived by her daughter, Torey McLeod and son, Jamaal McLeod both of Raleigh, NC; grandson, Joshua McLeod; brother, Thadis Alphonso McLeod (Sister-in-Law, Deloris McLeod) of Charlotte, NC; nephew, Devon Alphonso McLeod; niece, Asia McLeod(children: Zoey, Kailey, and Nathaniel); a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives, and friends.  Special thanks to cousins Tracy A. Glover and Linette S. Thomas who supported Annette during her battle with cancer. 

Annette was preceded in death by her mother Nancy Scott Archible (Moses Archible Sr.) and father Thadis Ray McLeod. 

Her memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her spirit will continue to inspire acts of compassion and acceptance in those she leaves behind. 

Rest in Peace, Dear Annette. Your love and light will forever shine in our hearts.

Public Viewing:  12:00 PM - 7:00 PM, Friday, September 20, 2024 at Lea Funeral Home.

Funeral Service:  12:00 PM, Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Lea Funeral Home Chapel, 2500 Poole Road, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation:  11:30 AM - 12:00 PM, preceding the funeral service at the chapel.
