Ardell Mitchell, of Raleigh, NC departed this life on Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Funeral Service: 2:00 PM, Sunday, June 2, 2019 at Pleasant Union Christian Church of North Raleigh, 2321 Pleasant Union Church Road, Raleigh, NC.

Visitation: 1:30 PM - 2:00 PM, preceding the funeral service at the church.

Interment: Pleasant Union Christian Church Cemetery, Raleigh, NC.

Survivors: Daughters, Carolyn Mitchell Moore, Linda Faye Mitchell and Marilyn Mitchell, all of Raleigh, NC; Sister, Elizabeth Hayes of Raleigh, NC; Special Nephews, Balion Mitchell (Reverend Ruby) and Freeman Gordon Mitchell (Maudie) of Raleigh, NC; Grandchildren, Nikita T. Moore of Euless, TX, Shannon Holden Haynes ( Andrew), and Nakima Johnson Clark (Brian) of Raleigh, NC; Great-Grandchildren, Lauren Holman Lassister (Xavier) of Atlanta, GA, Nakia Bailey Hawes (Cameron), Ashton Haynes, Nadeya Clark, Harmony Roach and Morgan Clark, all of Raleigh, NC; Great-Great Grandchild, Lucy Nova Lassiter of Atlanta, GA; Very Special Great Niece and Nephew, Cammie Carrington McCray and Cameron Carrington, both of Raleigh, NC.
